Placerita Fitness Logs:
Every week my students will have a homework assignment. The assignment is to exercise at home!!
How to fill out the Fitness log:
1. Your fitness log must be filled out in INK!!! (blue or black ink only) If completed in pencil, it will receive a zero
2. You must complete 4 aerobic activities each week.
3. Prior to aerobic activities, you must stretch. You should use the warm-up stretches done in class.
4. Aerobic activities elevate your heart rate for 20 CONTINUOUS MINUTES (nonstop activity).
Good aerobic activities include:
Swimming Speed Walk Biking Hiking Jogging Dancing
Running Elliptical Trampoline Skating Rollerblading
5. Any organized sports practice can be used for the aerobic. When filling out the activity on the fitness log, please include the name of the organization and sport. For example: practice SCVAA Warrior-football or practice Hart-Softball
6. A correctly filled in fitness log may be turned in on the due date for 100 credit. You will lose 20 each day after the due date. After a week (5 days), it is worth 0% and cannot be turned in for credit of a kind (only exception – student was absent).
7. Parents/guardians MUST SIGN IN INK (no initials) the fitness log each day an activity has been completed. By signing the fitness log, the parent/guardian is verifying that the student has completed the fitness log assignment.
